I bought this game mainly for myself and my 6 1/2 yr old son to play. Turns out, I like it more than he does! It is fun, fast and addictive. Love the choice of different machines to play on and the chance to unlock them and play in free mode. If I could change one thing it would be the delay between pressing the buttons and seeing the flippers move. Takes a little getting used to the adjustment time but once you do it si great fun. We have family tournaments and we each (5 of us but only 3 old enough to play right now but the others watch) have our own favorite table. Recommend to everyone who is looking for a good, clean, nonviolent video game that they can share with their kids, or for anyone looking to reminisce and enjoy a great game of pinball again.
This collection of Williams” Greatest pinball games ever …. Is simply “DA BOMB”!!!! I used to play most of these pinball games over 20 years ago! And I do miss the old arcades of the past, that had all of these pinball games!! If I had put away 50 cents for every dollar I fed into pinball machines back then…I’d be a very rich man today!! These games were surprisingly as close as you could get to these pinball machines, without spending thousands of dollars to hunt them down and find them in good working order!! These games existed way before playstation, Nintendo and Sega Genesis became really popular, and turned arcades into empty dusty buildings!! I do enjoy playing “Taxi”, “Space Shuttle”, “Pinbot” , “Fire Power” ,Twister and all the others!! The software people at “Crave”, have really outdone theselves!! They have somehow managed to capture the actual gameplay right down to the artwork!! If you enjoy hard to find classic pinball…. Buy This Game!!!!!!!!!!
As others have said, this is a dynamite sim for the price. The “table goals” feature is a nice touch, enabling you to do something other than just go for high score.I’m a pinball enthusiast, owner (Williams Riverboat Gambler), and sometime tournament player. The ball physics and overall “reality” of the tables is excellent. The left-analog “nudge” is the best of it’s kind I’ve ever encountered. So far, my personal fave on this disc is Taxi. The designer Pat Lawlor is not my cup of tea, so I can take or leave Funhouse and Whirlwind, but that’s a personal preference thing, They are great tables, just not to my taste. You might find they’re you’re favorites.The “Instructions” feature with each table is brilliant. Video and audio outlining everything you need to do. Most helpful.Value-10 starsFun-5 starsOverall-4 stars. What keeps me from giving this an overall five star rating is the flipper feel. Many of these machines were known in their day for lightning-quick, precise flippers. I know it’s the nature of the beast, but there is a notable flipper lag. Quick two-flipper combo saves are near impossible. The other thing that’s not to my liking: the right analog stick as the plunger. Perhaps a superior controller might help (I’m using a standard Dualshock), but it’s difficult to get any consistency. It can be a tad frustrating when Funhouse, Taxi, and especially Pinbot have such crucial skill shots.Still, nitpicks. This is a dynamite game, fantastic value, and it got me to put dow.
this pinball game goes back to the generation of the 80s!!they have 8 tables to choose from including-firepower/blacknight/whirlwind/funhouse/taxi/pibot/goargar 70s table and last space shuttle!!this game is fun for pinball enthusiates of variety from young adults up to the big kid adults!lots of tables to be the pinball wizard you dreamed of !!!
My wife and I play this on ps2 for HOURS on end. Of all the games I own, including high dollar shooters etc…..THIS game is more fun than my $50.00 games. This game is SPOT ON…..just like having the pinball machines right in my living room.
