Laundry day is a very dangerous day
Rocko was a favorite of mine growing up. It has definitely held up as I have introduced my two young children to the show and they really enjoy it. In fact, they request Rocko more often than any other show or movie, for now. It’s great watching shows as an adult that you loved as a kid. As with most kids shows, there are a ton of hidden messages that only older viewers get. Makes re-watching that much more fun.

No DVD collection is complete without Rocko. This classic cartoon is from the 90’s and is an example of television in its prime. It’s funny and a blast to watch, especially if you remember watching it on TV as a kid. And this show is just as funny, if not funnier, than I remember it being.
Like many of the reviewers here, I’ve been a fan of Rocko’s Modern Life since I was a kid. I still remember watching this wacky cartoon make its debut on Nick back in the fall of ’93 and being totally blown away by it, and shown by my rating, this is one of those rare childhood cartoons that not only has aged well, but has actually gotten better with age!! The only other nostalgic cartoon series off the top of my head that achieved this was Batman: The Animated Series. This is so because when you get older, you can comprehend the hidden “adult” jokes.LACK OF CENSORSHIP AND UNECESSARY EDITSI’m glad that RML creator Joe Murray didn’t pull any of the nonsense that John Kricfalusi did when Ren and Stimpy were released on DVD (I’m still angry about John K. messing with that show). The episodes on this DVD are almost exactly like you remembered from when you watched them as a kid. The only edit that I can name off the top of my head is the infamous “milking” with Heffer from “The Good, the Bad, and the Wallaby.” Other than that, I couldn’t notice anything out-of-place.HUMORRocko’s humor is very impressive compared to other cartoons, since it’s one of those rare cartoons where there’s humor that kids will enjoy, and adult jokes that are very subtle to a child’s mind, in that only an adult can spot them. For example, with the Rocko episode “Flu-Inuenza,” I loved the episode for the gross visuals fleshing out Rocko’s flu in graphic detail and the goofy things he saw when he wa.
Bought it thinking it was a season but i still enjoyed it even though it’s a best.
I didn’t realize just how much I missed this show until I popped in disc one and spent the next couple of hours remembering a piece of my childhood that seriously helped develop my sense of humor!! The quality is great, the packaging is simple and to the point, and you can’t beat the price for some timeless cartoon hilarity!!! I bought a copy for my Dad for Christmas as well and I cannot wait to see his face when he unwraps!!! If you’re a Rocko fan you’ll more than love this product!!!
