I didn’t know anything about this game at first, but it sounded pretty interesting after reading the description and other reviews. I got it at a really low price from retrolio and was not disappointed one bit. The gameplay is team based strategy and managing them in various operations in Vietnam. The graphics are pretty decent and remind me of the glorious 16 bit days of the SNES/Genesis era. The game is fun from beginning to end and as you finish a level you open up bonus games, which was a nice suprise. I’m very glad that I got this game as it’s introduced me to a category of gaming that I’ve never played before which is team based management. I definitely recommend getting this game for your DS collection, especially if you are into Team based management or not. It’s worth a look at.
The game is a light hearted look at the Vietnam War. You are a squad stuck in enemy territory and you have to fight you way back to base. Kill VC, Rescue Villagers, etc…Game play is awesome. Its not historically accurate – its a game. Its fun and straight forward. Simple controls.Sound effects are awesome. The sound of the M203 grenade launcher and the death screams of VC getting hit are rewarding. Not much music. Good Jungle background sounds.Controls. The only negative. Its hard to move dialonally. The DS doesn’t have an analog stick so you have to press 2 buttons to move dialonally. Controlled shooting is hard in a massive firefight.I love this game for all that it is. Its not Killzone, but its WAY fun. For $20.00 its a great buy.
