This game is A LOT of fun! From the very realistic college atmosphere, to the way the visiting team gets rattled in that atmosphere. The crowd graphics aren’t that great, but that doesn’t bother me…I mean if it looks great, cool, if not, well, you’re not playing the crowd anyway. The controls are seamless this year as you can string together jukes in spins for an array of elusiveness. The smart route was a very nice addition which allows your receivers to pass the sticks for the yardage needed to gain a first down. My only question is if there is a way to beat the “Ice the Kicker” feature(You can turn this off, too). I think the idea is a great one, but when this feature is engaged, I don’t know if it’s possible to overcome…it may be a little to hard. I would recommend this game to any fan of football…an absolute blast!
We have a lot of playing time with this game. I would recommend this for any age. Have fun and go, fight, win!
Good game overall. I recently purchased a PS3 a few weeks ago and didn’t want to pay for NCAA 2011, so I bought NCAA 2009. A good intro game to get used to the controls and get introduced into the new system.Pros-Updated features from previous games-New in game features-Fun and enjoyable for dynasty and recruitingCons-Poor graphics for players (run oddly and sometimes hard to control player)-Some game features(High School dynasty) can only control one player.Overall a good game for me purchasing a previous version as compared to the newer games.
This game is great!!! I have more fun playing this game than madden 09. It would have been better if they kept the QB avoidance thing. They should put that in Madden too because of the underrated speed ratings of all QBs. I mean Def. Tackles can outrun QBs in these games so the QB avoidance can give them that extra second to make that game winning pass. But this game has awesome graphics and brings the feel of college football to your house.
It is weird how ncaa 09 is better than all of the newer versions and is light years ahead of 14. Thanks for the game very happy with the game.
A nice upgrade – Some nice new features added and graphics are very nice. Gameplay is better then ’08 and looks more realistic.However one disappointment is that there are still no officials in game (though now when penalties are called it does have an official calling those). For a realistic looking football game it would be nice to have officials on field during the game.Overall if you enjoyed NCAA ’08 I’d recommed NCAA ’09 for the PS3.

This game surpasses all college football games out there today. Once again EA has caught the bull by the tail. Whether you play in dynasty mode, or become a legend in legend mode, noone get’s you in the game like ea does. If you want true to life, and you want that feeling like you are in the stadium, then here it is. This so true, you can almost smell the hot dogs, and hamburgers. The online feature is there to connect you to the rest of the ea nation, everyone is represented East Coast, West Coast, Beginner’s, or create your own league, and invite upto 31 friends to take part. The player animation’s are more robust than years past, and all the excitement of the college game is in the game. Stiff arm, twist, turn, juke, side step, and take it to the big house. Got a mascot, then celebrate your touchdown with him. Cheerleader’s, yeah we got ’em. NEW… I’ll tell you what’s new in this years version… you want to ice the kicker, then call that late time out, and watch the kick meter ice over, now hidden from view timing is everything. Shake your opponet by getting the crowd in a frenzy. Getting that national championship is not going to be easy…..Not this year.
If you love football games and love college football then buy this game. Set the main screen to your favorite team and listen to the fight song play when you load it. Graphics are great on PS3.
