Excellent game
Well my Fiance rates this 5 stars because he just loved it. I’m rating it 1 because he played it for one night and now has seemed to have forgotten that we have it. Money well spent! The game collection continues to grow into a ghost rack.
Let’s begin here: this game really does LOOK like NHL 14 with NHL 15 logos slapped over everything, but it isn’t.Playing a game on superstar difficulty really does feel like superstar difficulty – the gameplay may look the same, but it really has changed. Let’s start off with everyone’s favorite feature, the new commentary team. While it is refreshing to hear some new voices when playing, it quickly started to feel like a gimmick and a cheap selling point because, unlike the previous commentary team, the audio is choppy and the tones are not matched well. It really feels like commentary out of a 2K game, which is far below what EA has proven to be capable of. On the topic of sound effects, the crowd does sound a lot more real than in previous installments (i.e. they don’t randomly boo after a home team goal). Now on to the gameplay. The game feels the same as 14 in that the speed and controls are the same, but the actual gameplay and playmaking aspect has been totally redone. The offensive AI plays remarkably close to how humans would play this game in that they have a tendency to go for one timers and cross creases rather than firing slapshots from the point all of the time. Defensively, the AI feels like they are much more aware and effective – they know where the passing lanes are, and they aren’t stupid enough to let you skate circles around them. The goaltenders – while a bit OP – are a lot more aware of their surroundings and don’t quite fall victim to garbage g.
Has good graphics leaves out a lot of modes,fun to play.
