NCIS, now in its sixteenth season, keeps finding ways to deliver good television drama. Senior Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs is an unhappy acting director when Vance goes missing, and is both unhappy and preoccupied by season’s end. Longtime coroner Doctor Mallard starts edging, seemingly reluctantly, into retirement. Special Agent McGee is now often the one pushing the team out the door on cases.Fortunately, younger agents Bishop and Torres and a new forensic scientist step up to solve cases and handle the action. Special Agent “Jack” Slone, an old friend of Gibbs and Director Vance, adds an element of stability. And at season’s end, there is a hint that a long-gone agent just may not be gone after all. Be sure to catch the whole season, and to tune in for next year. There will be a Season 17. Both are recommended to fans of the franchise.
…Abby was one of my three least favorite characters (and actors) – falling between #1 Director Shepard/Holly and #3, Kate/Todd but I like Kasie.I’m just not a big fan of the “princess’s” idea of “depth” which comes off as fake. Some actors just have a princess vibe that makes any other persona they try to play look sloppy – I can’t explain it. Gibbs shows a bit of a scripted princess side but I don’t find Harmon particularly “princess-y”.Harmon’s a generally happy dude that has some trouble with other personas – which is a problem happy people share with sociopaths (sans the icky vibe) which even causes some experts (and many individuals) to classify “happiness” as “pathology” which comes out in American script writing. Not as much in literature – where the solitary writer writes what he’s familiar with – but often in scripts. And certainly in political/social morality stuff.My favorite NCIS is in the lighter, funnier Gibbs/Fornell, Gibbs/Vance, Ducky/Jimmy, Ziva/anybody and the less mature version of McGee scripts.That said, I think Kasie is going to be great – if they don’t bog her down with a bunch of boohoo stuff.
I can never get enough of this show hanging on the edge waiting for season 17
Last two seasons-sure at times they had their moments but it just seemed with some long timers leaving the show-seemed all disjointed throwing all these characters in there. You get used to them and their quirks and then their gone. It just seemed so disjointed it was hard to carry a decent story arch over several episodes. This season is a lot better, much better story telling and continuity among characters. A much better show-not as predictable as it has been the last few seasons.
The show is awesome, but retrolio is taking their time releasing episodes. It’s been weeks since the last one came out.

So for example, when the premier episode of NCIS Season 16, Episode 1 airs tonight (Sept 25, 2018), retrolio will add it to your video library on Sept 26. Then each week, if there is a new episode, it will appear the day after it airs, all season long.For those of you who were thinking you were going to get all of Season 16 the minute you hit the purchase button, really, what were you thinking? Don’t you realize that they haven’t even filmed the entire season yet? NCIS will probably show their season finale in May, which means they probably won’t film it until late March or early April.I have my season pass, and am looking forward to adding season 16 of the best show on TV to my library with the other 15 seasons I already have. Glad retrolio is allowing a season pass for this. They aren’t offering one for Big Bang Theory yet. I’m afraid my library will be incomplete for that show as a result.
