I got the game for my birthday and I was blown away by the improvements made from the 05′ edition like the Heisman mode best thing ever and the dynasty mode has improved for its old 60% to a 97% that’s cool.Oh yeah did I metion the graphics are out of this world and the impact players are cool too like for instance Laurence Marouney(former RB of Minnesota now for the pats yeah!)is an impact player for a reason in a season and I’m just like a medium player at this game and I got like 1,700 yards in the season.Oh yeah Virginia Tech and Texas QB’s are great too. The game overall was great but, I got bored with it in about 3 or 4 weeks. OVERALL RATING=A or 96%
This game reminds me a lot of Madden ’05. The game speed is around that of Madden instead of NCAA ’05 which was very slow. The running controls are outstanding and easy to use with the incorporation of the right analog stick. The race for the Heisman has you not only concentrating on winning games and moving up in the polls, but also on your performance. The dynasty mode is always an excellent mode for those of us with a little more time on our hands. Two things I’m not too fond of…Secondary defense all around. You’re gonna get burnt, A LOT. Sure, you’ll do you’re share of chewing up the secondary, but there is almost absolutely nothing you can do when the computer decides to get you for an 85 yard touchdown pass. And, although it works to your advantage, when running, you’ll often be twenty yards down the field before the opposing cornerbacks and safeties turn to face you.The impact player. I like the concept, but the “impact” happens pretty randomly. If your impact player would get pumped up after making a big play, I think that would be better. Likewise, you can sack an opposing impact QB, and he’ll be right up ready to torch you.All in all, it’s a great game. I can’t wait to get my hands on Madden ’06 so I can export my guys like I do every year.
I’m obsessed with playing this game online, but you have to watch out for tons of cheaters online. The biggest BS play on the game is the unrealistic HB direct which gurantees you at least 15 yards. The only way to stop it is by sending a heavy outside blitz every play, and believe me there are knuckle heads that do it every play online. Also in online play people have mastered glitching the game which slows down the connection in pivotol moments to make you play like crap. Also some dorks figured out how to snap the ball to the WR for at least 30 yard gains on every play. But that is just on the online mode, outstide of the online mode it is a very fun game to play on the dynasty mode. I’m very happy with this game, and I can’t wait til next years game comes out.
This is overall a really good game. The most gratifying aspect is the Dynasty mode where you can create your own team or take over an existing one to dominate a conference. I appreciate this one more and more as time goes on. I’m waiting to start using the 2013 version until my current dynasty hopefully wins the championship. I can’t imagine that game being any better than this one.
good game
My autistic son loves the older games. He plays this for hours.
I loved NCAA Football 06, the greatest NCAA Football video game series ever to play. I like the brand new game mode – Race for the Heisman.
Great game
This is an overall fun game. It has pretty decent graphics, and Race For the Heisman is really cool. The impact players are also pretty sweet. It was worth the $50 bucks I paid for it. The only problems are your defensive backs drop the ball a bit too much, and if you create a team and do a dynasty you start really badly ranked and it’s annoying when you are undefeated and still not ranked number one.(I started out ranked like 116 and was undefeated and ended up like 6th so close enough). I also one time was ranked 24th and beat the number one ranked team and only moved up one ranking. But overall this is an awesome game and if you like college football you should buy it.
the old ea games feel more real when you play them than the new. bring them back. reggie bush cush
