An interactive game for the basketball player. i saw this game used at a basketball camp and kids waited in line to play it during the breaks. i bought it for my son who loves basketball and loves this game. The only concern is that you must use it on a hard floor, like in a basement because of the dribbling. If your Xbox is set up in a family living, i would not purchase this game.
I bought this to add something different to my music camp. It’s really for basketball players, but I thought it was going to be something close to making songs with basketball beats. Hoping it was kind of a percussive approach. But really it was just bouncing the ball to a song. But at least the kids enjoyed it and they were keeping a steady beat. Hard for young students (3rd grade and younger) ok for students older than 3rd grade.
Gave this to my son for Christmas and I don’t think he has stopped playing. Even my younger daughter is into it. Teaches some good ball handling and coordination.
Challenging, it seems the sky’s the limit on how good you can get! Very impressed with XBox kinect on this game – as well as others.
I took a chance on this game because I love playing basketball and NBA Baller Beats was at a great price. After playing it for a few hours, I must say that it’s extremely fun but it is somewhat difficult to pick up and play. Some of the moves aren’t properly explained and the advanced moves are way too difficult to perform, especially if you’re limited in space like me (Kinect sensor from my area of play is a maximum of 7 1/2 feet away).Overall, I would still recommend this game because it features good music, it makes your active, and I felt that my handling skills have improved, especially my off hand(left). Keep in mind I didn’t use the ball that came with it because it’s rubber and a bit cheap. Since I play basketball regularly, I used my Nike Elite Basketball (http://www.retrolio.com/Nike-Mens-Elite-Championship-Basketball/dp/B002QAGZC4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1357179828&sr=8-1&keywords=Nike+Elite+Basketball)
It’s a real basketball training for my daughter 10 years to learn dribbling
We got this game for our kids, both of whom play on basketball teams. This game is fun and develops dribbling skills that will help in real basketball games! The thing I like best is it forces you to look up while dribbling, so you know what you have to do next. That is exactly what you need to do in a real game situation. It’s also a great workout for parents – especially those who haven’t played basketball since high school!
It does work. I don’t think it’s fun to play it. I got tired of it fast and my son stopped playing long time ago. But what I did notice was that his ball handling did change a bit. He’s able to use change of rhythm to "break ankle" if I were to use his term lol. Yeah, I do have tougher time stopping his drive to the basket.
First Practical Skill building Kinect Game I’ve seen!
My son loves this helps with keeping his head up.
