I was really looking forward for this game and was quite excited and shocked it actually made it to the USA.I’m a huge fan of tactics games and i realize its a very hard genre to sell in many markets because nowadays gamers like the easier games that don’t take much effort.This game is not forgiving at all just like the real world (And dark souls) which makes it very interesting at times. I’ve had little or no problems with the game so far, sure i’ve made mistakes and had members die , but after making that one mistake i never made that similar one in the future. You have to evolve with the game, learn from your mistakes prior and don’t make them regardless on the types of map.If you can think on your feet you’ll demolish this game.Pros+Tactics plays a huge part in the game.+Use Terrain to your advantage but remember that if you can see them they can see you.+Characters have different personalities and give you the feel that your party members all have different backgrounds.+You can’t just blitz through the game like a non tactical game, every move has a consequence its your job to analyze the battlefield and see potentials for ambushes or traps. You can’t expect them to guide you through every little thing.+ Mutiplayer is fun , but you won’t find many people willing to play with noobs its a small group of experienced veterans.Cons- No shops… i have a lot of excess rings and etc. i would never use i haven’t ran into a shop of some sort or town that would add some more immer.
Natural Doctrine seems to take a vastly different approach to strategy RPG, and so far proves itself to be a fresh and challenging adventure that doesn’t play quite like any other game on the market. However, there are a number of things about Natural Doctrine that can turn off players, such as it not being a game for the faint of heart. The story itself is not particularly bad, its about an invading army of evil bugs, but it does seem to lack a degree of depth. There’s a colorful cast of party members that have backstories and world history, but they are glanced over quickly, leaving the main focus the this game to be the gameplay itself.The voice acting is good and the music is even better. Battlefields are three-dimensional and are broken up into various squares of space, however movement within these squares is free-form. Characters can move only within a set range of squares each turn, they are free to move anywhere within these squares, taking advantage of cover, line of sight, and other environmental factors. There are different playable classes such as close-range fighters, gunners, and magic users, and even if a single character falls in battle, it’s game over, making this game incredibly challenging. Thankfully, for the most part there are many tools available to the player and checkpoints in battle so that the difficulty is largely manageable.One of the primary tools the player can use is Link Turns. Underappreciated strategy game.
Now this game is what i was looking for, but not only that the battle system was awesome and the gameplay was great!Clearly this game ain’t like your averages Strategy games, this is a hardcore strategy that every moves counts it kills or be killed!
Difficult enough however frustrating. We all know it’s hard but dying mid battle over and over with nothing to show for it is annoying.
