First time driving a wii game. Once I master this I’ll try a new game. It turned out to be a hit on Christmas morning.

We got this game for my 6yo’s birthday and he couldn’t be happier! It isn’t a realistic NASCAR game — you can bump other players and create rivals so that those players will then be more likely to hit you back. There are also mini-games and such. But it is exactly what my kids were looking for in a racing game.

I have a 4 year-old and 7 year-old – both boys. The seven year old likes how he race with the same cars he watches racing every weekend. The four year-old is also able to play the game, although not very effectively on the more difficult tracks. It seems to be well designed for kids – if you go backwards too long or get stuck on a wall, it will automatically correct your position.The only down side is that the announcer mocks you and talks trash if you are not playing well or miss the challenges. It is discouraging for the kids. I think I can turn the announcing off in the settings, but then I would miss out on the important stuff too.
