If you loved the prequel Bravely Default, then you’ll equally love Bravely Second. Just like in the first game, the voice acting in Bravely Second is superb and funny, the graphics and music are great, and the storyline is excellent. I already have over 100 hours of play time invested into it, and I still haven’t finished the final chapter yet. Compared to Star Fox Zero (roughly 8 hours of gameplay), Bravely Second is more than worth its money in overall play time. Definitely one of the best story-driven turn-based RPGs available on the Nintendo 3DS.
Love this game. So many hours of gameplay, and I don’t have a second of regret. The first game had a better plot, but this is nonetheless not bad neither.
A lot less serious also not as slow than the first and a lot more enjoyable.
I still think the first one was a little better, but I think by far Bravely Default and Bravely Second are the best jRPG’s released on the 3DS. If you liked Bravely Default you WILL like this one. The game play is exactly the same. For those who like to level grind, this game offers a number of opportunities to over-level your characters and make the game a breeze. This game also offers a few things not in the first, like the Chomp Craft mini game and fighting Baals on the Moon Base. Great plot and character development, hours of voice-acted dialogue. Like Default, the story actually makes the player a part of the plot. A serious throwback to traditional jRPG’s. While games like FFXV are obviously catering to a new generation of gamers, it’s good to know us (relatively) old folks can still find games that are following the same basic formula as the ones we grew up with, with a modern day twist. The best Final Fantasy games to come out in years, despite not being called Final Fantasy.
Don’t even have to play the first to get the story. Everything was reviewed
Love it
great game
Was much like the first installment. Not the best, and at times it feels repetitive, but it scratches that JRPG itch and that’s always a good thing!
I was itching for some portable rpg fun and have been wanting to play this series. I only gave four instead of five because now I wish I had waited to play Bravely Default before this one. So far the game is fun and engaging.
Great gameplay but a goofier feel than the original.
