It is NOT bad, just one more fun metroid game, with good story and production value
I liked this game, but again I’m biased. I enjoy the Metroid series. It was different from the Prime series, but it was a good change of pace. I get what others say about the story and Samus’ personality, but I’m relatively new to the series since the gamecube days and the start of the Prime series, so I must admit i dont’t fully understand that argument. Regardless, its a fun game and shouldnt be missed on the Wii.
We had a problem with this order to begin with, but Everything Distributors made it all right. Now looking back on the events that happened I am not even sure that they were at fault! It may have been another order that actually caused the mix up. I can not say enough on helpful they were.
I am very satisfied with the product and its conditions. Thank you very much for the sale and hope to offer very soon!
I’ve had second thoughts about buying this game over and over again, due to all the negative feedback I’ve seen here. Took the chance anyways and boy am I glad. I’m simply loving this game! I dunno why people rated this so poorly. The controls handle smoothly, the game looks great and supports widescreen, the story is awesome, the cast is cool, it’s packed with above average speed action. I’m having fun all the way through. I’ve seen alot of new school cats who don’t know about their gaming roots talk about how they messed it up by not making it a first person shooter. Oh please lol. I’ve been playing Metroid since the NES and let me tell ya, it was NEVER a FPS. Metroid was a 2D side-scroller. Only the Prime series adopted this FPS crap and to me, it ruined the game if anything. Anyone who knows where Metroid came from would love this game. You other guys should stick to Call of Duty. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve played the Primes and it’s good, but don’t talk like that was Metroid’s style. They’ve gone back to 3rd person gameplay and thank god! That FPS stuff doesn’t appeal to everyone, they just made the game the way it was suppose to be originally. They even added in some FPS action into the mix which feels great. I’ve missed seeing Samus’ entire body as she sprints and flips, dodges and battles. Prime pretty much destroyed that but it’s back and it’s better than ever!Another thing people have a problem with is the fact that this game actually has a story line lol. C’mon, seri.
Ok, I know there’s plenty of negative press on this game. Personally, I think people need to step back and take a fresh look at this game. Most people complain that Samus doesn’t act according to what they conceive to be her typical persona. I disagree with this. No other Metroid title ever tried to convey a real personality or characterization like Other M does. And to think that Samus shouldn’t show emotion throughout the game just doesn’t make sense to me. She’s a female, and she’s human. And she still overcomes her fears of Ridley and kicks his butt. We never knew that she felt this way because no other Metroid title actually tried to convey her emotions, but now we get to see the introspective side of her. IMHO, this is a very refreshing approach to the series, and helps flesh out Samus’ character in some great ways. it makes me care about her as a character more than I ever have before.Characters in video games don’t need to be emotionless robots that take on all challenges without so much as a frown. Emotions are what drives humans in everything they do, and it’s great to see these all important aspects of humanity being explored in Other M. And she is NOT portrayed as a whiney wimp. Rather, she is portrayed as an individual overcoming her own personal challenges. Otherwise she wouldn’t handle herself so well in the circumstances she faces in this game. But anyway, let me get to the actual review.Controls/Gameplay — Amazing. Even though you play with t.
Well I decided to get it back after staring at the entire gameplay on YouTube. The only reason why I got rid when it first came out was of a creature I had a hard time facing. I never bothered to play ever again after I gave it to me brother. Until now I’ve decided to buy it and keep this time.
This Metroid game is different from most due to the fact that it has both classic Metroid side scrolling and first person view shooting. Metroid Other M also offers a new defence for Samus where you will need push a button quickly to avoid being hit. Over all this game is fun to play and still deserves five stars, its just not like the Metroid Primes game play style. p.s.You can’t scan enemys for creature lore.
Game play is unlike the Metroid Prime series, giving you a 3rd person pov instead. The game was engaging because of the extensive amount of cut-scenes and story given. This game comes after MP3 Corruption. I really enjoyed this game!
It came brand new
