Description
Free from his imprisonment, the Dark Master unleashes his wrath upon the world, determined to bring forth a new age of darkness. As evil spreads over the world like a plague, Spyro must discover abilities beyond that of the elements and unlock the true power of the purple dragon within him if he is to stop the Dark Master and fulfill his destiny. The game introduces two never before seen elements into the Spyro universe: Spyro can now fly at any time and players can drop-in/drop-out with the new cooperative feature. The co-op feature allows players to have the option of completing the game as either Spyro or Cynder, giving them more freedom to explore Spyroās world in completely new ways.

This game is very good. It was so much fun and had a good plot.
Good Fun & Entertainment from an Old Friend!I remember Spyro from the late 90’s when he made his debut on the PS1. Here we are ten years later and he is still going strong. Yes, the last few Spyro titles have been a disappointment, but for some reason Activision did it right and churned out a great game. I have to admit that since Spyro landed on the PS2 and the Gamecube including the Wii that the games have been a bit of a let down. The games were still playable, but missing that certain something quality that made the original first three games so much fun. The magic from the original creators had faded away.Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon is probably one of the most beautiful Spyro games to date. It’s simply gorgeous. This is also the first time that Spyro can fly in a game. I think the Spyro the character has really matured a bit and there is a certain grown up element to this game.I wouldn’t call it a boss battle, but one of the big monsters in the first level is a bit on the scary side and the way the game plays reminded me a little of God of War. I would say this game isn’t complete 3D like Mario. Spyro is restricted to what is visible on screen and the 2nd analog stick doesn’t function the way I would like it to. The second analog stick has always been used to rotate the camera angle around the screen 360 degrees, but because of the fact you are restricted to semi 2D/3D layout that one can only move the camera to what the game lets the player see, so its pretty mu.
I was a fun game to play. I own all of Spyro game for playstation 1 and 2, and I think is was definitly one of the hardest ones. But it was fun to play!
I personally am in LOVE with this game. I have played all the Spyro games I own, from the first Spyro on PS1, the first second and third, then The Legend of Trilogies. I’ve played them all through a couple times. I can’t get enough with Spyro, I also hear they are making a movie in 3D called, “The Legend Of Spyro in 3D”. Comes out April I heard, so I can’t wait!Back on track now, I love the scenery and graphics on this game. That includes music choices.****However this next paragraph is a spoiler, so read at your own risk!!!!!****I literally cried at the end of each game ’cause they had ended it so greatly. Though I cried the most at the end of this game, because I thought that Spyro and Cynder had both died. Then I found out after the credits they didn’t. All Spyro games I own are just amazing. I will soon get Spyro A Heroes Tail.I would rate this as many times as I could because the acting, voices, voice sync, graphics, story line (especially when Ignitus dies :'( ), and everything else they planned/went perfectly.I am a serious Spyro/dragon fanatic, I actually have an obsession, but that’s just me XDI would recommend this game to all, but I would advise you play the first 2 games before this one. Enjoy the game if you bought! :D
This is the best spyro game to come out on the ps2. The graphics are pretty good for a ps2 game. Don’t listen to the people who gave it a one star, its rated E10+ for a reason. Instead of just being Spyro, you can be Cynder as a playable character too. It does have violence in it but it also has puzzles you can solve. If you already haven’t bought this game go out and buy it, because you won’t regret it. It is rated E10+ for fantasy violence.
My first console game when I was a kid was "Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage" on the PS1, so Spyro has a special place in my heart. I played The Legend of Spyro, but skipped Eternal Night because of bad reviews. It was a little weird starting this series because of the more serious undertone, especially with Dawn of the Dragon. When you’re used to the old Spyro games where Spyro is more feisty and character scenarios are more goofy, it takes a little adjusting at first. With all the seriousness, there are some cheesy cutscenes. Also, the camera can be a pain when you are trying to look off or up a ledge to see where to go.Overall though, I really enjoyed myself while playing this. The new breath powers are fun to fight with, and this game does a better job of adding the puzzle element than The Legend of Spyro. You get to use your powers to solve puzzles throughout the game. And FINALLY making Spyro a dragon that is able to fly is fun! To be honest, that was the main reason I bought the game. There are limits to flying, like downdrafts so you can’t just fly wherever you want, but that makes it more challenging and fun.Overall, I would recommend this and probably buy it again if I lost it.
I don’t get it; WHY ARE THERE NEGATIVE REVIEWS??? This is probably the best game I’ve ever played. There isn’t a thing to complain about except this, the Burning Plains were ugly. I’ll admit, I may not have a legitmate review because I’m an eleven year girl who’s a dragon nut. I love the flying. Yeah yeah I can’t go very high, cry me a river. That’s why you can flap. There’s nothing to complain about, people just have to have everything perfect. If you ask me, there is not, will not, and can not be a better game. Unless they make a sequel.
This is an awesome Spyro game, he can FINALLY fly whenever he wants!!!!!!! Oh my god!! Lol, but it is 2-player or you have to play and switch back and forth between Spyro and Cinder which can get annoying. The game gas a cool plot, it takes a while to kill enemies unless you use unlimited life or unlimiter powers cheat codes (which I do). I also needed to use a walkthrough for some parts to get through them faster because I could not find things. Overall, its a great last Spyro game.
Awesome price and service
