Was happy to received this game. My grandson (16)had requested it for a present. He had played it with a friend and wanted the game for his collection.
Well I didnt expect much of this old ps3 game because it is pretty old for starters and well I have seen this game get mixed reviews. As a fan racing games this one may be on my top as far as the game having the most detailed customization to date. Its a bit more deep than midnight club LA in some areas and as far as the cars they added some amazing cars I havent seen racing games add. As far as the graphics theyre okay standard wise for a early ps3 game. The car handling, its a little similar to earlier midnight club games (somewhere between 2 and 3) its not the best either is it bad. It takes some time for adjustment. They added a new mechanic called DNA which lets other online players know what type of driver you whether cool, neutral or a hot headed type. Its a cool mechanic but this game is definitely no long online. Definitely a bit better than Need for speed’s pro street. The drifting in this game reminds me of Ridge racer 7 minus hitting the square button. Its a little challenging but its something you pick up in the game quickly not making it a challenge after a while. For a racing game its far superior than many of the recent racing ganes in the Need for speed series. Its worth checking out this one. One main problem is the lack of single player modes, there isnt any. Another annoying thing about the game is that to unlock performance parts you must do challenges. It wouldve been better to have them unlock until you get into a certain area. The challenges will get a.

If you like drifting and racing its a pretty cool game. Plus you can change the car with body kits and so fourth.
I only have two problems with this game; the graphics could have been just a bit cleaner considering it’s on a next gen console, and the environments are a little strange looking. Other than that, Physics on drifting and driving are not too toyish and not too sim, good balance. And I’m so glad I get to mod an S14 with name brands like JIC Magic, Tomei and C-West.I love it, and I can’t wait for NFS:Pro Street to come out so I can go even crazier, and eventually have no life. :)
Graphics – Great, fantastic. One of the best at that.Fun – Everything is fun except for the onlineplay because no one is on there and the fact that when you restart with pinkslips and you lose or quit the game you will still lose your car no matter what.Hardness – Easy to understand but eventually gets too hard in certain races.Pros – Great graphics, real looking cars and people, fun to play, and is cheap to buy.Cons – Poor online companions and Pinkslips and Restarts suck.
