Indy500 Evolutions is already several years old by the time I picked up this game. I expected older graphics, and from the mixed reviews I assumed it would be a nostalgia pickup with little play value. After all, I have had Forza 4 for a while now, and am eagerly awaiting Forza 5 when Indycar racing returns to console!This brings us to this purchase: unable to wait for my open wheel fix, I saw this little game for xBox360. I am really glad I did. While the graphics are dated, I found that one reviewers description of the accurate physics and having to learn to drive these cars for what they are to be very accurate. After 3-4 practice laps I was turning laps reliably, and competitive! Then came the variable of the other cars: 33 of them! I had no issues with AI making silly cuts, and was able to race wheel to wheel! Btw, I struggle with most games, not an expert. I learned really quickly that banging into other cars results in lots of lost places; but I found myself pulled in by the challenge to race clean. All to often in other games I win by bruising my way to the front. Not so here. Thankfully, they have a restart race option so I can redeem myself after a last lap 1st to worst! I found myself missing 2 hours without realizing the time passed! That is, to me, the essence of video gaming: to lose yourself in another world for a few minutes or hours, and come back completely happy.This game is by now marked down significantly. I would imagine if you are reading these reviews.
My son loves racing older open wheels, great value.
How cool is this game, i really enjoy it, one thing that is not mentioned above is the online multiplayer races. I love them and i am really addicted, the missions are all achieveable and are all ranked in classifications from Easy, Normal and Hard deplicted by 3,2 or 1 star. The price is a snip for what you get back in content. Will be playing this for some time yet.
Excellent game. Better with the speed wheel. I especially liked choosing any car to race. I’m a beginner and still enjoyed the game.

This Game is Great fun and a wonderful nostalgia trip as well. It’s not for people who are into arcade type sims Like Grid but if you would like to get taste of what it was like to race back in the days of Sachs, Jones and Ward this will certainly satisfy you. Graphics are not stunning but very good and it is a huge kick to view and drive all of those great open cockpit roadsters from the sixties. I should also mention there is a lot of great vintage film footage to view from each progressive year of racing so you can really experience the evolution and development the sport through the sixties. Worth every penny for any racing buff.
Props to the guys who made this game.. its a treasure for any TRUE HARDCORE racing fan. Hopefully it also gets released on PC.
Great game that has many tracks and drivers from 1961-70, I would highly suggest this to any fan of IndyCar and racing games in general. Graphics are dated but it still looks good thanks to the art style used. Overall I would give the game a 4/5 and added an extra star for the quick shipping.
1960’s Indy 500 was full of changes and this is great simulation. All the cars have different strong and weak points. Love this game.
