this game is very adicting and loads of constant zombie blasting fun. with great graphics, easy controls, cool bosses, and a fast gameplay. yes this game is short but to bring the most fun out of this game beat it on easy so you can unlock house of the dead 2, than put difficulty on hard and go with the flow. But what i was really hoping for was that they would make a house of the dead with a story mode, kinda like a free roam. i would have to say that this game is worth 20$, thats how much i got it for.lol to the reviewer that said house of the dead 2 was better, beat house of the dead 3 and you will get your wish, freeeee house of the dead 2.
what a great game, keeps you on your toes the whole time you’re playing. Before you know it, it’s been a hour or two. I played this game at an arcade at the beach, and it was 50 cents a pop. When I saw it was on XBOX, I was so excited. It is a short game, but it is just like the arcade game, but there is a lot of replay action as well. You can choose between red or green blood, that was pretty cool, which helps to cut down on the gore.Definately worth the 20.00.
I bought this game the day it came out, and man, it is awesome! First off, this is a light-gun game, meaning that you can use a light-gun peripheral to play it. This game is pure fun from the get go. I highly recommend you get the light-gun along with this game which is the Mad Catz Blaster and is the only light gun currently available for X-Box. The game has the best graphics I have ever seen in a light-gun game. I own Time Crisis 2, Vampire Night, and Endgame on PS2 and have seen/played Dino Stalker and Ninja Assault so I’ve been there. The graphics are phenomenal. This time around the characters are equipped with a shotgun, so when you shoot you get a wider blast. If you use the light-gun you can reload by shooting off-screen or pressing the button on the grip of the gun, or it will reload for you once you run out of ammo. The gameplay is fast, intense, and the story follows the previous two installments. Another great thing about this game is that it is really two games in one. Once you beat the game you can unlock and enable the complete and full Dreamcast version of “The House of the Dead 2” it is the exact same thing as the Dreamcast version and contains all the same modes (a direct port of the Dremacast version, so no X-Box enhanced graphics), but hey, you get a bonus game in this package, two full shooting games in one, you can’t beat that. Some people complain that the game is too short, well the inclusion of House of the Dead 2 more than makes up for this. I think.
If you’re like me, you’ve pumped dollar after dollar into the House of The Dead arcade machine. This game is great! With the Mad Catz Blaster light gun (recomended by the makers of the game) there is fun for hours. I got the game and gun combo for Christmas and it was perfect. The graphics are unbelievable, the shooting is intense, and the gore is thick and juicy. With 2 light guns you can take a friend into the madness. After the game is complered (if you’re lucky enough) House of the Dead 2 is unlock for play. Also on the game is a behind the scene look at the up-coming movie cleverly entitiled House of the Dead. As fast as I completed this game it is not easy. There is no way to continue with a handful of quarters. It is a challenge, it is extremely fun. The story line isn’t indepth but it closes the book on the House of the Dead story line… or does it?
When I came home from school my father told me he has something for me.It was a gun with this game.After I said thank you I went to my xbox and started playing.I liked the game very much.The graphics are very good but the game is way to short.I beat the game the fifth time I played it.It is bloody but if you like shooting games you will like it.Don’t forget to get a gun with it or the game will be stupid.
This game is bad…Some people think that it sucks but i think their CRAZY.Grafics,monsters,bosses,intros,and stages are awesome!First boss is a sucurity gard named”Death” and he chases you through 2 or 3 stages!The second bosses name is”Sun” and he is some kind of weird plant and he is a little bit like tower on”The House Of The Dead2″The next boss is a dead monkey who’s name is”Fool”(some weird names huh?)its hard to kill him because he climbs everywhere and when he shakes the cage you have to shoot some dead bodys from the top.And fanily the most hardest boss of all is “Curian” he comes on The House Of The Dead1 and when you kill him you get to play The House Of The Dead2.In order to kill”Curian” you have to shoot him in the heart.6 stages 4 bosses pretty short game but so bad and fun you can sit on the floor close to the tv and play and play and play (just like I did)Oh yeah and i for got something you can also see a short video of how the made The House Of The Dead The Movie
I’ve noticed that this game really is a lot of fun and is something short and sweet to play when you have nothing else to do. At this low price, it’s the best entertainment you could have. The graphics are fantastic, but the acting as always, is terrible. If you ever wanted to have the arcade brought home, this is it.The coolest part is that you can unlock House of the Dead II after you beat #3. Both are very fun. Two games for $20 is a great buy, $10 a game. Get it!

Warning: this game is not for kids! House of the Dead 3 for the Xbox is based on the arcade gun game of the same name. You would think that playing a gun game with the analog controller would suck right? But the game plays very well even with the analog controller. You go through levels shooting hordes of slimey zombies. There are the dumb limping zombies, then there are, the wall crawlers, sludge creatures, the axe-wielding and even zombies that come at you with a chain-saw. When you shoot at the monsters with your shotgun, you’ll blow giant holes into there gut, sever their limbs or even blow their heads clean off, with loads of blood splashing everywhere! Since the game is played in a first person perspective, you get attacked from all directions and the camera pans to the zombies which pose the biggest threats. It’s very exciting and adds a cinematic quality to the whole game experience. This game is short, but it features co-op gameplay and lots of bonus goodies which add to the replay value. Pros: +excellent graphics +excellent sound effects +excellent music +excellent controls +co-op gameplay +lots of bonus goodies +buckets of blood +fast loading Cons: -short game -one weapon type only
