singel play is weak yet I have not found A better two player Death match EVER!!! It just Rules! P.S.- only for Play Station you have to use the ps. Duel stick controlers to get the most out of it. never the N64 with thear three handid alein controlers.
Forsaken is the greatest death-match, head to head game ever made. It’s one player is boring, but death-match is beautiful. flying small ships through 5 underground arena / mazes,1st person cockpit view, perfect controller config in analog, and a great assortment of missles, mines, and power-ups. I’ve never found a game that is as much fun as this one. it’s complicated at first to control, but totally worth the effort.
one of my favorite old time games.
This is a great product. I recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy this video game or the music on the video game.
The last time I remember playing this game was probably at least 12 years ago. So playing this game again was both nostalgic and challenging in a good way. Todays games are for the most part easier compared to these, for example the aiming system feels like you have to actually aim precisely at your enemies instead of your aim "sticking" to them. The controls are also somewhat tricky, but eventually they become second nature. The levels (13 if I remember correctly) have different objectives, but is basically the same goal of reaching or unlocking the exit after you complete them, one in particular is timed, so you have to know what you’re doing. I personally don’t mind since the true fun is in the action itself. The music is also very "energetic" and matches easily to the game’s style. I’m aware that this game may not appeal to everyone, especially if they just want to play it casually or hate the controls (I sometimes hate the controls too sometimes, but don’t care most of the time), so I think that it’s better suited to people that really love it and want to be good at it. Overall, this game in my opinion is challenging and fun.
It has a very Descent feel to it, but faster with better level design. I am still exploring the vast world and am loving it
For anybody thinking of getting this game because they liked it on N64, warning… it’s almost a completely different game. With that said, it’s actually BETTER than the N64 version. Before starting the game you’ll notice a rather cool (and kinda funny) CG intro. It’s quite bloody and has a voice over that tells you the story of the game. Graphics on the menu screen may seem laughable but once you start the game, things take a 180*. It’s smooth framerate is amazing considering the amount of freedom and fast movement (360*).Here’s a list of things that are (in fact) better than the N64:-Enemies don’t blend in with the background because they’re more defined.-Music is miles away better (CD audio vs. cartridge).-Controlling your ship could be a confusing mess at first but stick to it and you’ll be moving around like a pro in no time. The Dual Analogs do a greater job in making you feel in complete control of your character.-Levels…my god… they’re 90% different from what I remembered on N64. Waaay more action oriented but keeping the almost claustrophobic feel of confusing mazes and, in some levels, a time limit. Now the cons:-Graphics seem rougher on the Ps1. Even though the N64 had an issue with enemies being all blurry and hard to spot at a distance, the overall level textures looked clean and very nice.-Controls. It may be Pro to me but it could be hell to others. The Left analog controls where you aim (nowadays that would be the Right analog, not the left). The Right anal.
