As is true with many Americans, when I hear football, I think touchdowns and the Hail Mary. Although the U.S. team is still years behind the powerhouses of the sport, I have always enjoyed the World Cup, or any sporting event, which pits country against country. Now, not having played a FIFA game in years, it took me awhile to get the hang of this one, but once I did, I couldn’t turn it off. The stadiums and player models are outstanding. The commentary, albeit a bit redundant (as is the case with every sports game), is both entertaining and authentic. As is true with the real game, goals are hard to come by, however, I have never scored a touchdown in NCAA 06 (my favorite game) that was quite as satisfying as a last minute goal to win a match. This game features more than 100 nations and their respective stars, all of the World Cup stadiums in Germany, and terrific pageantry, including balloons, confetti, national anthems and a terrific celebration if you win the Cup. I highly recommend this game.
This is probally the best soccer game i ever played after fifa 2006. The amount of national teams is enourmous with 127, the most i seen in a video game was about 170 in fifa 98 road to the world cup. The cool feature about this game is that you can play either the qualifying rounds for each confederation or skip the qualification rounds and head to the fifa world cup finals. The play now option allows you to pick any 2 teams and play any match of your choice, qualifying round, quarter finals , semi finals , and the fifa world cup final. So you can pick the suckiest teams from the roster and have them compete in the final. The only negative comment i have about this game is that in the qualifying rounds you dont start from scratch in the qualification process. For example, in the Oceana qualification there are alot of teams missing that Australia beat during the whole qualification process i.e. American Samoa, Samoa, etc. Overall this is a great game with tons of goodies to unlock.
The product arrived on time and it was in perfect condition. I am very satisfied. I will definitely shop again with this merchant.
This game is very cool. It features practically every national team in the world! It is tough at first if you’re used to dominating in the other FIFA games. There are a lot of new attacking moves for when you’re on offense. It does take some getting used to but is well worth the price. I definitely recommend this game for anyone who enjoys FIFA games. You can take any team and play them through the qualifying rounds into the finals in Germany. You can play with as many teams as you want to. This game features over 2000 players. Overall a very cool game.
Thanks
great game.
I’ve had this game since it was released and I still find myself playing it from time to time. The graphics are awful by today’s standards, but it still is a fun game to pick up and play real quick. The main feature I really like (and abuse) is the create-a-player feature and the ability to maximize players’ stats. It’s real fun to make a super-team, although bear in mind you can only alter stats for about 12-16 players in the entire game, if my memory is correct. The controls are very easy to master, but as with many PS2 games (well honestly even games today) some times they don’t always connect. I’ve found that the CPU more often than not gets the unfair advantage when it comes to fouls; my sliding tackles garnered more yellow cards than the CPU’s even when they were clearly out of order! But it’s not all the time and it isn’t a game-killer. One petty thing that I don’t like is how repetitive the announcers audio is. Again, this is a PS2 game and I understand that there isn’t much space back in the day to include dynamic and ever-changing voice work for each game. But you get really tired of the same analysis of each goal very quickly. "Can he get it in?" "Oh it’s there!" has been burnt in my mind forever.Definitely pick it up if you want some good fun in a not too serious setting (I’m not one who plays FIFA regularly, but I enjoyed this)
I wish there was a PS3 editon on Hd of this game, but the PS2 is really fun and if you love football, you need to get this one for your collection!
i love the international teams I love their names and stadiums and how they look. its worth buying it really is!!!
I like it,the stadiums look very nice definitely world class stuff.Thank you!Cesar
