Bought it for myself in an attempt to burn excess calories in a fun way.Did not have a chance to try it – my daughter took it from me and would not let me play.Based on my observations, she is having so much fun – I maybe will have a chance to play when she either gets all highest scores or moves to college :-).The music is not bad to my taste. The moves are do-able. The scoring system is OK. You are not punished for bad moves. If you move – you get points. I own a Zumba game – it gets frustrating at times when you cannot get exact move match.I say – good purchase.
I bought this as a Christmas present for my girlfriend, who loved Just Dance 4. She was ecstatic to play this one. Many more well known songs were included, and both of us had fun playing it. The dances are pretty fun to begin with, and there’s really something in there for anyone. Our only complaint was the workouts weren’t quite the same as the last game, so it made it a bit more frustrating if you only wanted to get a specific workout in.
Fun dance game that is actually quite the challenge if you are dancing impaired such as myself. However, I bought this for my fiancee and she really enjoys the game. My only real issue is there are a LOT of songs that really shouldn’t have been included in this dance game. I understand that you want to cover as many genres as possible to cover the masses, but honestly just stick to songs you know have a good dance to it because that’s the reason people are buying this game.
I have not played JD2014 too much yet, but I have to say that is partially because it doesn’t seem as fun/captivating as Just Dance 4. I primarily play JD4 with my 3 year old son and it is always a lot of fun and great exercise as well. Please take my review with a grain of salt as I have probably spent less than 2 hours with Just Dance 2014. However, I have spent MANY hours with Just Dance 4.I have two main issues with JD2014:1. Just Dance 2014 tried to imrpove/simplify the kinect menu interactions compared to Just Dance 4. As much as I tended to get frustrated with the Kinect accuracy in the menus in Just Dance 4, Just Dance 2014 seems to be more annoying to me and actually less fun if that makes sense. I liked the feel of "depth" with the JD4 menu interactions.2. Just Dance 2014 has a tweaked visual style compared to JD4. It is just as functional, but I find Just Dance 4’s visuals to be more fun to look at. That might seem cosmetic, but this sort of game has to provide visual stimulation (along with the music) to keep you interested in essentially dancing like a fool and getting some exercise.I have not tried any of the new ONLINE multiplayer features. They sound fun, but I probably won’t get into that anytime soon.Overall, I am confident that Just Dance 2014 with provide hours and hours of fun, exercise and catchy songs.
I got the game easily enough and it came without damages. However, there is a lack of information regarding the playability of this game on the shop’s page. This game does require an XBOX Sensor in order to play, which was not stated before I managed to purchase the game.
So fun we play it for hours. What a great way to get the family moving !!!The kinect easily recongizes this game. Not a lot of space is needed for this game if playing with 1 player. If playing with more than 1 player you will need more space. We just set it up in the living room, we move our coffee table though. There are quite a few song selections. You can even make your own dance, and the next player has to replicate it! Its an awesome game that keeps you busy for a long long time! We love this in the winter, or rainy days when we can’t get out side and move in other ways! Good activity to get the family moving!! Great shipping time too!!!
My three kids, age 9,7 and 3 all LOVE the Just Dance series on our Xbox. They play it constantly, take it out when their friends are over and always look like they’re having a great time. I love that even though they’re in front of the tv, they are up and moving, not parked on the couch pressing buttons. Its an especially great game during the cold months. The Xbox also captures and replays video of them dancing which cracks them up.The song selection on here is fantastic. Lots of songs that they know from Radio Disney and songs that are fun for dancing. Oddly enough, the song I see them dancing to the most is the theme from the Love Boat? hah. I’m 100% sure they’ve never seen the Love Boat in their lives or have any idea what the song is, but they’re still dancing along to that song.Great game.
My daughter and her friends love this game!! We have been fans of Dance Central for years now but I bought this game based on the song list which seemed right up my daughter’s alley. Her and her friends have had more fun with this game than any other game we own. The songs are current and classic. The dances are fun. The characters are interesting to watch (I can’t think of another game where you get to dance along with people in giant fruit costumes), The dance playback videos are usually hilarious. This one was the sleeper hit of the season for our household.
Obviously, there’s lots of comparison between this and Dance Central 3. While, DC3 remains my favorite kinect dance game, this is the game that I play the most. Why? Because this is the first game that has gotten multiplayer online right. I absolutely love the World Dance Floor. You can compete with players from all around the world in this mode in real time, online (plus I usually place first). And it’s been a great way to meet other people that are passionate about Kinect dancing. There can be improvements to the online mode. I wish you could challenge people 1 on 1 (yes you can do a private session but you have no control of the songs). Also, there needs to be more variety to the online catalog. Seriously, they rotate the songs over and over and some routines just rarely ever get played. How about every now and then letting first place choose the next routine? How about letting us do DLC online too?But it’s simply the best and as far as I know only game to accomplish online dancing (the rest are just leaderboards). I have met and friended several people this way. Anyways, I highly recommend this game. It’s much more accessible dancing game than DC3 even though it’s not as challenging, plus they are currently very active in adding DLC with a lot of pop music hits.
I couple years ago I bought a "Just Dance" game and a "Dance Central" Game…….and Just Dance is definitely the winner!!! So much more fun than Dance Central. And because I really enjoy this game…I recently bought three more "Just Dance" games…this being one of them! It’s a fun workout…totally gets me sweating, just one song after another, and my boyfriend loves watching me dance, lol.
