The game lives upto the same good ol’ feel as the series has been from day one, but I have to agree w/ some of the people…….. the weapon crafting is just overboard too much… don’t get me wrong I’m glad it’s there since it’s a cool addition, but dang it’s just crazy to sit and play about 20 mins fixing a weapon… then another 10, 20, etc… again and again… no wonder the say the game is longer than any of the other two… lolOther than that the game is amazing… my brother and I have been playing it since lastnight when mine came in… love it as I have the others w/ the normal complaints that anything new causes until it’s tweaked to fit better…still a must buy… still a must play… just pure out fun!!!
Great game with a great story so far. Love the game, makes me want to play the previous 2! Yes…I played this before the others because this was on sale. I am about halfway through and loving it. However, something seems to be lacking in this game, can’t quite put my finger on it. Would love to see this how this game would be as a sandbox game.
I bought this just because I thought I would finish the series (DS2 was a bit of a disspointment) but DS3 was a pleasant surprise. The story line and game were closer to the first DS game and much more fun with the new weapons upgrades and mods!!!
It’s not a horror game. It’s an action game. Excellent coop, which is rare these days (but you need 2 consoles and 2 tvs to coop). I highly recommend playing this game with 2 tv/consoles side by side ’cause Player 2’s character will "see" things differently than Player 1.Good weapon customization.Make us whole.
Intense, suspenseful, distressing. In other words, good.
THIS GAME WAS VERY FUN TO PLAY. IT IS A GREAT HORROR GAME IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO PLAY AN ADVENTUROUS AND SCARY GAME. GRAPHICS ARE AMAZING AND GAMEPLAY IS VERY FUN. THANK YOU retrolio FOR RECOMMENDING ME THIS GAME AND I LOOK FORWARD TO PURCHASING MORE GAMES OF THIS CATEGORY.
So, I finally finished the campaign, and I must say, this game delivers. The terror/horror I felt in the first two games was not all there, though; but, there still were more than a dozen moments that made me jump, and made my blood pressure and heart rate rise. This game exceeded my expectations … to an extent.I absolutely love the fact that I can create my own custom gun combos! It does, after all, fit right in because Isaac is an engineer. This series desperately needed a change in that department. Only being able to pick from a handful of weapons in the first two games quickly became boring. I have not done the math, but there are FAR more weapon options with this new design. I probably did not put more than 50 hours (that includes the new game+ play through’s) of play time into the first two games combined; mostly because there was not much freedom – in any aspect of those games. I know, without a doubt, I will be putting over 100 hours of play time into this game between trying all the weapon combos and the new co-op experiences. They did away with the node and store based upgrade system (Thank you!), and adopted a resource based system. Each part/gun/RIG upgrade requires a certain amount of resources. There is tungsten (the rarest), all the way down to scrap metal (the most common). As you move up the weapon tiers, you will find yourself needing a larger number of the rare resources. You can buy resources through in-game PlayStation store transactions, but.
My sixteen year old son really likes this game. He has been playing it a bunch over Christmas break. He thought it was a little tough to learn the controls but now really seems to like it.
good game
A very fun and interesting instalment the Deadspace game series. Makes any fan of the series want another game created to continue the story.
